Odessa City Walk and Archaeological Museum

Your air-conditioned motor coach takes you to the famous Deribasovskaya Street - home of Odessa humor, and a street, keeping the special Odessa atmosphere. Walk along the old street and have a stroll in the recently restored City Garden. Continue for a photo stop to Odessa Opera and Ballet Theatre. Nearby is the Archaeology Museum, the first museum of its kind in the former Russian Empire.
Visit Archaeological Museum and learn about the history of Odessa and its surroundings, discover the museum’s collections of artifacts from many cultures, including ancient Greek, Scythian and early Slavic.
Then walk along the Prymorsky Boulevard. At the eastern part of the Prymorsky Boulevard in front of colonnaded Odessa City Hall you will see a Pushkin statue & a British Tiger Gun, captured in 1854 during the Crimean campaign. Walk to a statue of the Duc de Richelieu, one of the founders of the city of Odessa, and learn about the foundation of Odessa and history of Potemkin Steps. Built in 1837, Potemkin Steps are the best place to view the busy harbors and the bay. The famous monument to Duke de Richelieu overlooks steps of 142m length. Take pictures of the new Monument to Catherine the Great.
